1. Buyer’s Full Responsibility for Local Laws

By purchasing from defendgearshop.com, you (the Buyer) expressly agree that you are at least 18 years of age and are solely responsible for ensuring that the products you order are legal to import, possess, and use in your specific country, state, or region.

  • Self-Verification: It is your legal obligation to check your local customs and weapon laws before placing an order.

  • Assumption of Risk: DefendGear does not provide legal advice and cannot be held liable for any legal consequences resulting from your purchase.

2. Customs Seizures & Non-Refundable Policy

All international shipments are subject to inspection by local customs authorities (e.g., UK Border Force, US Customs).

  • Seized or Destroyed Packages: If a package is seized, confiscated, or destroyed by customs due to a violation of local laws or prohibited item regulations, DefendGear will NOT issue a refund. * Abandoned Packages: If you refuse to pay local import taxes or fail to provide required documentation to customs, resulting in the package being abandoned, no refund will be provided.

  • Returned to Origin: Only if a package is safely returned to our warehouse in its original condition will a refund be considered (minus original shipping fees and a 20% restocking fee).

3. Global Fulfillment & Origin Transparency

We fulfill orders from various international hubs, including the USA, UK, and Hong Kong.

  • The shipping origin does not exempt the buyer from local import regulations.

  • Even if an item is shipped from a domestic warehouse (e.g., UK to UK), the buyer remains responsible for ensuring the item is legal to possess under local statutes (such as the UK Offensive Weapons Act).

4. No Liability for Legal Action

DefendGear shall not be held liable for any storage fees, fines, legal proceedings, or criminal charges brought against the buyer by any governmental authority. By completing your checkout, you waive any right to hold DefendGear responsible for any issues arising from customs or law enforcement.

5. Restricted Items Notification

While we strive to filter products based on shipping destinations, our system is not a substitute for your own legal due diligence. Restricted items may include, but are not limited to:

  • Tactical tools with specific blade lengths.

  • Certain defense equipment or accessories.

  • Items requiring special permits or licenses in your region.
